AntarcticaSpectacular icebergs and glaciers around the Antarctic
peninsula as well as Antarctic marine life such as penguins. whales,
and seals make up this collection of images taken during travel to
Antarctica during its short summer that occurs from Dec-March. Many
of these images were taken beyond the Antarctic circle where most
tours to the continent don't venture. Several of these photos are

travelers interested in viewing the scars of those tests and seeing
the amazing way life has flourished on the island.

- Located in the Indian ocean about 1000 miles east of Kenya, the
main islands have only been settled for about 200 years. Believed
to be the peaks of an ancient mountain range, the granite rocks that
make up the main islands are unique as are the hundreds of plant an
animal species found no where else on earth due to the isolated nature
of the islands.
