Dana Point was incorporated on January 1, 1989. The Citys
boundaries encompass the three distinct communities of Capistrano
Beach, Dana Point, and Monarch Beach. Dana Points adjoining
cities include Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, San Clemente, and San
Juan Capistrano. Within its boundaries there are sandy beaches,
rocky coastline, tide pools, and abundant marine life. And the harbor
with all its activities such as the Tall ships festival and other
boating related imagery make the town incredibly diverse photographically
for such a small area geographically.
