Towers of Light memorial

World Trade Center

"Remembrance"
March , 2002
Open Edition

On March 11 2002, the "Tribute in Light" was first publicly lit. It uses 88 spotlights to beam two 50-foot squares of light heavenward. The sponsors' intention is that the lights are a tribute to the memory of those who were lost, and are also symbols of the spirit of the great city of New York , and our shared determination to rebuild the great city we love. This image of the World Trade Center memorial was photographed from Liberty State Park in New Jersey.
